Hugh Sisley was born in 1991. He started learning the horn at the age of 7 and was subsequently taught by David Bentley at the Junior Guildhall School of Music for 10 years from the age of 8. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Richard Watkins and Michael Thompson and is currently taught by Pip Eastop. He was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. He has played Guest Principal Horn with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Aurora Orchestra and London Chamber Orchestra. He regularly plays on film soundtracks at Abbey Road Studios in London and is regularly invited to play in the Orchestre Nazionale D’ell Accademia di Santa Cecilia by Alessio Allegrini. He has performed a solo recital at the Wigmore Hall and has played concertos with different orchestras including the premiere of Elgar Howarth’s Concerto for Horn.
