Three Worlds – Weekend Courses for Hornplayers

Join Guild of Hornplayers & special guests for a weekend of music making, focused on Timothy Jackson’s unique and ground breaking work, Three Worlds. Inspired by M.C. Escher’s eponymous artwork, the nine movements are played simultaneously, juxtaposed in any order. Nobody knows the order before the performance begins. It all depends on the luck of the draw!

Day 1

  • Morning session: Coaching / rehearsal
  • Afternoon session: Masterclasses
  • Evening session: Guild of Hornplayers Quartet public recital · featuring special guest

Day 2

  • Morning session: Coaching / rehearsal
  • Afternoon session: Rehearsal & performance for participants to present their progress to family and friends, playing alongside Guild of Hornplayers and special guest

Cost: £150 per weekend
Full time students are eligible for a 15% discount.
Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
New professionals, amateurs and students from Grade 5 and above welcome.
